22 Miles 05:50
22 miles of water and a piece of paper is all that separates us. White cliffs, won’t you take me home? ‘Cause like this my life is stuck in limbo. The self-righteous incite this unkindness and gas my home. Their life advice is: Be careful where you’re born. I wasn’t born and raised in a war-torn place. Professor back at home but I left it all. And you think I wanna steal your job? But I no how that feels, good God. Just tryna jump this train before day breaks. 22 miles of water and a piece of paper is all that separates us. The crisis, the press are leaving in the darkness. Our voices, are forced to silence. Despite this, we’ll keep tryna get past it. God willing, time will tell, we’ll make it out of Hell. What did I do to deserve my life? Nothing. What did you do to deserve your life? Nothing. All I see, red sea, glisten on the horizon. Warning: charming gifts to lure you in. Shudder from the underground. Spilling out sombre sounds. Shaking now, inward bound. Stripped to your instincts. Get out.

Humans 06:09
Humans, roam back and forth. Humans, find what little truth you can. No land’s in one man’s hands. Closed quarters, in a race from the torn. Man made storm in the waters. Said they can’t afford. Hard worked from the very start, under a heavy sun. Holes blown in their traditions. Decisions that were ours. Give faith a weapon, it'll be sure to change direction. Armed and ready to fight for peace. Close your eyes to catch a breath to keep your… Was a desire to modernise design a certain kind of life to exercise. Prioritise enterprise, stabilise, de-sensitise. Tried to take it across the border in the shape of gun and soldier. Preaching order on another’s son and daughter. Who are they to dictate, say, where a man can lay? If you’re heavy-headed, rest as you wish. Close your eyes to catch a breath to keep your peace. Break and enter, see if it affects them. Enough to spare but too scared to share. Barriers, but there's language in your face, I can tell it hurts. Undeserved rounds of manic men preaching peace with automatic guns. Ashamed there’s no place for this human race. Not feeling God in ourselves just God ourselves. Forgetting the only light is sun. Aware, but lost importance somewhere. Feeding tragedy daily, installing a cold response. If you stick to common sense, you will feel guilty my friend. Or get caught up, belligerent from self pity ‘cause you're ignorant. If it’s opaque it's not okay to call the shots presumed. Morals in predicaments lost significance ’cause you're self-consumed.

about

Pay what you want.
Half of the proceeds will be donated to the charity "Phone Credit for Refugees and Displaced People". The artwork (painted by Clara D) and the lyrics to 22 miles were inspired by a weekend spent with the charity working in "the Jungle" in Calais. Although the Jungle no longer exists and although the refugee crisis is no longer in the mainstream news, there are still thousands of people separated from their families, trying to evade brutal riot police and find a safe place to sleep on the streets of France. No one in the Jungle thought of it as home, but at least it was a community. These people are now more desparate than ever.
The aim of the charity is simple - to help people contact their families and loved ones. Please give generously if you can afford to... if you can't, please give this page a share on social media :) thanks
